35mm film is the pinnacle of contemporary 'reminiscence'. The great thing about Antarctica is that 90% of the time you're wearing substantial, thick layers of clothing which accommodate in the 10s of pockets. This meant there was always a place for the disposable, where ever I went. Film will always be timeless photography for one main reason- its truth. Such moments are captured in a set few milliseconds and the limiting nature of a disposable discourages the shooter to try again if it wasn't 'perfect'. There is no perfection with moment photographing - only beauty and bliss. Beauty from an embrace of the moment and bliss from the lack of worry to manicure a desired or adjusted scene.
